PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting the molding conditions of an injection molding machine suitable for simplifying work for determining the molding conditions, and a data display. SOLUTION: When the molding conditions are set, a set value for each of N kinds of molding conditions is set, a molding test of a plurality of shots is done based on the same condition, and a test molding is repeated in which a molding test of a plurality of shots is done based on a changed set value with respect to at least one molding condition. In each molding test, (n) kinds of molding conditions selected from the N kinds of molding conditions, set values corresponding to the (n) kinds of molding conditions, and (m) kinds of statistical values calculated for each of measured values for the shots of (m) kinds of measured values selected from lots of measured values are stored in a storage device and outputted to a display by a controller. The display makes identification conditions, the (n) kinds of molding conditions, the set values corresponding to the (n) kinds of molding conditions, and (m) kinds of statistical values one molding condition setting data and indicates a plurality of molding condition setting data portions corresponding to a plurality of the molding tests.
