PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a valve spring capable of restraining surface roughness low and giving high compression residual stress to the neighborhood of a surface and the valve spring. SOLUTION: Shot-peening is carried out by using amorphous particles as a projection material after applying nitriding on the surface of the valve spring provided by coiling a spring steel wire rod.
