PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method for a brass plated wire material which does not impair adhesiveness between a steel cord and rubber. SOLUTION: When the brass plated wire material is wiredrawing-treated by being fastened and brought together after welding, the welding portion of the wire is surface-finished flatly and then, after the peeled plate portion in the vicinity of the welding portion is treated by copper plating, the wiredrawing is performed.
