PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently apply functional coating to form a coating film having≤1μm dry film thickness on a glass surface or other surface to be coated by hard work by freely selecting the change or the transition of a working region. SOLUTION: The trowel brush X has a main body 1 having a nearly nife like cross-sectional thickness, a planer fiber 2 stuck to the coating work surface of the main body 1 detachably and a grip for operation. The coating working surface continuously forms a tip working part 11 equivalent to an edge and a curved drum working part 12 equivalent to an edge surface into a curved surface. A liquid passage element 5 for temporarily storing a coating liquid injected from the outside and supplying it to infiltrate in the planar fiber 2 is built in the main body 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
