PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting a basin to a cabinet whereby the basin is easy to mount to the cabinet with good positional accuracy so that they can be stably fixed together in a predetermined positional relationship. SOLUTION: The structure comprises the basin 20 provided with a bar-shaped fitting body 2 with a recess groove part 15 formed on the peripheral edge of the bar-shaped fitting body 2 toward the underside of the back of the basin body 19 on each side, and the cabinet 18 where a catch 1 formed with a recess 5 for inserting the rod-shaped fitting 2 therein has its mounting part 7 secured to the upper portion of each side plate 21 of the cabinet body 17. The bar- shaped fitting 2 suspended below the basin 20 is inserted into the recess 5 of the catch 1 of the cabinet 18 from front to back, whereby the basin 20 is secured to both catches 1 of the cabinet 18. The recess of the cabinet opens wide at an outer insertion part, and this opening gets smaller toward an inner predetermined position and becomes approximately equal to the diameter of the recess groove part 15 at the predetermined position.
