PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a plastic needle of low pricking resistance to be indwelt in a body by use of a tube made of a polyurethane shape memory resin, as well as a plastic needle so manufactured. SOLUTION: This plastic needle 1 has a hub 12 made of plastic and mounted on one end of a tube 11 of a polyurethane shape memory resin, and a tube hub assembly is thereby formed. Thereafter, the end 13 of the tube 1 of the tube hub assembly is machined to form the needle 1. The machining of the end 13 of the tube 11 consists of the first process for inserting the prescribed portion (end part) of the tube 11 in a heater for applying heat thereto, the second process for drawing the end part under the application of heat, and the third process for cutting the end part drawn in the second process along the part of minimum wall thickness. |
