Foamed plastics pallet walls or uprights are twice the thickness of the surface plates, and the density of the upright material compacts as the thickness diminishes. The outer rims of the surface plates are set back from those of the upright components of the pallet. The ribs on the plates are spaced to form fork entries, possibly expanded out in funnel design to ease this. Surface hardness of the flat surface plates is much higher than that of the upright walls. |
