The temperature monitor comprises a sensor and an electronic module in a housing that fits against the outer surface of a pipe. The housing has an aperture for a contact element of a heat conducting material that is held against the pipe under pressure from internal springs. The temperature monitor (1) comprises a sensor (3) and an electronic module (7) in a housing (2) shaped to fit against the outer surface of a pipe (10), to which it is fastened by a strap (4).
