<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadband antenna assembly capable of becoming non- directive over a horizontal plane. <P>SOLUTION: The antenna assembly comprises a first linear element (11) disposed approximately vertically to a ground conductor plate (10), a second inductive linear element (12) connected at one end to the other end of the first linear element (11) connected at one end to a feed point but open at the other end, and a third linear element (13) having one end disposed approximately parallel to the ground plate and another end disposed approximately vertically to the ground plate. The sum of the electric lengths of the first and second elements and the length of the third element are each set to approximately 1/4 the wavelength of a first operating frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
