PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speaker for use in various sound apparatus in which the efficiency of the speaker is enhanced by employing a highly efficient small magnetic circuit of a leaf tweeter reproducing 20 kHz or above. SOLUTION: The speaker comprises a magnet 27 magnetized in the vertical direction, a bottom yoke 24 bonded to the lower surface of the magnet 27, a plate 26 bonded to the upper surface of the magnet 27, and a magnetic circuit 29 forming a magnetic air gap 28 by means of the plate 26 and the bottom yoke 24 wherein the magnet 27 is wider than the plate 26 and the upper surface of the magnet 27 is exposed at least on the magnetic air gap 28 side. Consequently, the volume of the magnet 27 is enlarged without requiring a huge magnetic circuit 29 and since the flux is concentrated upward, a highly efficient small magnetic circuit of a leaf tweeter can be obtained.
