PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescence display device which can be more downsized and is excellent in a radiation noise characteristic. SOLUTION: An EL part 3 arranged on the back side of a glass substrate 2 is covered with a metallic cap 6. The metallic cap 6 is connected to the side of the EL part 3 on the back side of the glass substrate 2. A driving circuit board 12 for controlling light emission of the EL part 3 is electrically connected to the metallic cap 6 via a conductive tape 14. Since the driving circuit board 12 is prevented from being made in mechanical contact with the metallic cap 6, further downsizing is possible. The metallic cap 6 is grounded by the connection of the driving circuit board 12 to the metallic cap 6 via the conductive tape 14. Generation of the radiation noise from the driving circuit board 12 can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
