PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recorder, a data recording method, and a digital broadcast reception display device that can quickly switch a display image when image display is selected resulting from referencing a module existing in other carousel than a present one, cope with update of the module and can sufficiently be practically in use. SOLUTION: In the case of recording a module sent by carousel in a DRAM 17a, the DRAM 17a records a newly received module without deleting the module having already been recorded in the DRAM 17a at the time of switching the carousel. When the received module is updated at switching of the carousel or the received module has already been updated with respect to the module having already been recorded, the DRAM 17a records again the updated module.
