PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a synthetic aperture radar 1, wherein when PRF is high, the reflection power of a range ambiguity component becomes large, so that a reflection signal from an area outside the area to be essentially observed appears a false image on the azimuth-compressed image.
SOLUTION: According to an auto-correlation code string such as a barker code, an up chirp signal and a down chirp signal are switched and transmitted. When the down chirp signal reflected at a desired observation point is received in a signal processor 13, all received signals are reversed. Integration is performed after range compression processing, whereby the amplitude of the received signal from the desired observation pint is extracted to suppress a range ambiguity component of the received signal.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
|
