摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geomagnetic pole azimuth calculating method for a magnetic sensor device providing optimum inclination correction under a working condition assumed to be frequent as a usage method, and capable of realizing miniaturization and lightening required when mounted on a portable apparatus. SOLUTION: In the geomagnetic pole azimuth calculating method, when detecting a geomagnetic field by a three-axis magnetic sensor and calculating a geomagnetic pole azimuth, the optimum inclination correction is carried out under the working condition assumed to be frequent by determining a geomagnetic vector acquired from the three-axis magnetic sensor and a vector G having a designated predetermined angleαfrom vectors substantially perpendicular to a particular axis X, considering that the predetermined angleαis substantially equal to an angle between the geomagnetic vector and a vertical vector from the ground, and considering that the particular axis X is an axis substantially parallel with the ground of axes used for main rotation under an actual usage situation of a board attached with the three-axis magnetic sensor.
