PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-loading jig for a toroidal continuously variable transmission that pre-loads an angular bearing when a traction surface position of an output side disk is measured, and an assembly method that uses the jig to assemble a toroidal continuously variable transmission precisely. SOLUTION: The pre-loading jig 40 pre-loads the angular bearings 30 in contact with the output side disks 3A and 3B, when a shank 44 of a bolt member 40A is passed into through holes 60 and 62 of both output side disks 3A and 3B and an output gear 4, and a nut member 40B is threaded on the end of the shank 44 so that the nut member 40B and a head 42 of the bolt member 40A pinch both the output side disks 3A and 3B from both sides.
