<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting that has functions of separating and connecting pipes in a condition in which refrigerant is sealed inside as well as a pipe fitting having an opening/closing valve and that can be manufactured at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A male pipe fitting 1a has a body 12a formed from a metal stick by cutting work and a body 12b formed from a metal pipe integrally by blazing, while a female pipe fitting 1b is formed integrally by a body 12c processed from a metal pipe. Opening/closing valves 15a and 15b including taper surfaces 15x and 15y respectively on leading outer circumferential surfaces formed into symmetric shapes are placed inward slidably within the bodies 12a and 12b of the fitting 1a and within the body 12c of the female pipe fitting 1b. Each of the opening/closing valves 15a and 15b is energized in the direction in which each of the valves projects from end portions of the body 12a and the body 12c by resilience of springs 14a and 14b disposed between retainers 11a and 11b doubling as eccentricity-prevention and valve guides 13a and 13b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
