PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change operation device with a selection actuator capable of securing a prescribed thrust near the stroke end. SOLUTION: The speed change operation device has the selection actuator for operating a gearshift lever in the direction of selection. The selection actuator comprises a gearshift lever support member disposed slidably in the axial direction in a casing for supporting the gearshift lever, a first actuator and a second actuator for operating the gearshift lever support member in the axial direction, the direction of selection. The first and second actuators have a magnet movable body disposed in the outer periphery of the gearshift lever support member, a cylindrical fixed yoke disposed surrounding the magnet movable body, and a pair of coils disposed on the inner side of the fixed yoke respectively. The magnet movable body of the first or second actuator is set off the center position between the pair of coils with the gearshift lever supported by the gearshift lever support member being located in the neutral position.
