PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program guide display device and method providing high user visibility and convenience. SOLUTION: The program guide display device displays a program guide where program cells sectioned by each program are arranged two-dimensionally on a time axis and a channel axis, and comprises: a broadcast program searching means that searches programs whose broadcast time includes the present time; an earliest end time storage means that stores an end time of a program which finishes earliest as an earliest end time; an earliest end time discrimination means that discriminates whether the present time is the earliest end time or later stored in the earliest end time storage means; and a program cell display means that displays the program cell by using the earliest end time to be the display head time of the program guide when the earliest end time discrimination means discriminates that the present time is the earliest end time or later.
