摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus and a control method for continuously and quickly shifting to steady operation without generating any overcurrent after glow discharge is started in a DC power supply for a glow discharge load. SOLUTION: Merely when the current limiter detection value of an output current in a DC power supply exceeds a set value, the difference is amplified for outputting. The amplified output is subtracted from a constant current control signal for controlling the on-time of a switching element for output control, thus carrying out control so that the output current does not become an overcurrent. At the same time, the start of glow discharge is detected from the output current and the output voltage. Then, transition to a steady operation state is made by means of procedures for reducing the on-voltage of the switching element for output control at a proper speed by the detection signal.
