PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the introduction of a stray ray of an ultraviolet ray into a liquid crystal display panel when a flexible board for driving a liquid crystal is connected to the terminal of the liquid crystal display panel via a UV cure anisotropic conductive material. SOLUTION: The apparatus for connecting the substrate to the liquid crystal display panel comprises a panel mounting base 3, an ultraviolet ray irradiation means 4, and a shroud 5 disposed at least at a predetermined height position over the base. In the apparatus, when curing the anisotropic conductive material by irradiating the rear surface side of the terminal 1a with the ultraviolet ray from the means 4 by placing the liquid crystal display panel 1 having a predetermined flexible board 2 for driving the liquid crystal to be temporarily adhered to the terminal 1a via the ultraviolet curable conductive material, the apparatus further comprises a shutter plate 10 for covering the upper surface of the panel 1 on the base 3, provided at the time of emitting at least the ray.
