摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high quality printing and to enhance reliability of an optical system for a laser beam printer by providing an optical recording device that has an optical fiber array with improved arraying accuracy. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a multibeam generating device includes the optical fiber installing process in which optical fibers are each placed on a plurality of aligning grooves provided in an optical fiber arraying member, the first arraying process in which a planar member is installed at a place separated by a prescribed length from the beam emitting end of the optical fibers, and in which the optical fibers are held with the aligning grooves and the planar member, the reference fiber selecting process in which, on the basis of the arraying state of the optical axes at the beam emitting ends of each optical fiber after the first arraying process, an optical fiber lowermost to the aligning groove side is selected among the optical fibers; and the second arraying process in which other optical fibers are lowered to the aligning groove side so as to be aligned with the optical axes of the reference optical fiber selected by the reference fiber selecting process.
