PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reagent and method for detecting atopic dermatitis, by which a patient can be diagnosed definitely that the patient is suffering from atopic dermatitis and the causal antigen of the atopic dermatitis can be identified safely and accurately. SOLUTION: The reagent for detecting atopic dermatitis contains an antigenic protein, derived from a true fungus and/or its antigenic fragment as an effective component. The method of detecting atopic dermatitis includes a step of measuring the IgE antibody titer of a sample to be inspected collected from the patient to the antigenic protein, derived from true fungus and/or its antigenic fragment contained in the sample by bringing the reagent for detecting atopic dermatitis into contact with the sample.
