PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive method for applying corrosion- preventing materials which can substitute conventional corrosion prevention methods and does not need maintenance. SOLUTION: This application method is characterized by filling an inner surface of an object to be corrosion-prevented such as a pipe 1, with the corrosion-preventing material 2 consisting of a porous lightweight body and a corrosion inhibitor. Thereby, the method prevents corrosion by contacting the corrosion prevention material reliably with the inner surface of the pipe, further needs only preparation of the corrosion-preventing material, in an application for corrosion prevention, requires almost no replacement after one time of application to the object, prevents corrosion of the object for a comparatively long term without replacement or the like, and is very advantageous from the view point of maintenance.
