PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas stove heating objects to be heated of different sizes with excellent thermal efficiency. SOLUTION: This gas stove 1 comprises a burner 2, a porous body 3 comprising porous blocks 3a and 3b, an air supply/exhaust fan 6, and an exhaust control valve 28 to open/close an exhaust relay pipe 27 to communicate the porous block 3b with an exhaust passage 26. A controller 30 opens the exhaust control valve 28 when a power change-over switch 7 is set to 'high power', and heats both the porous blocks 3a and 3b by the combustion exhaust gas of the burner 2, allowing a space within the diameter L10 to be an effective heating range, and closes the exhaust control valve 28 when the power change-over switch 7 is set to 'low power', and heats only the porous block 3a by the combustion exhaust gas of the burner 2, allowing a space within the diameter L20 to be an effective heating range.
