PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure gas bearing unit having sufficient stiffness and load capacity to a radial direction of the bearing and stable rotation of a hub. SOLUTION: The dynamic pressure gas bearing unit 2 comprises the approximately cylindrical hub 4 with a designated height, a central shaft body 51 inserted into the inside of the hub 4 and relatively and rotatably supporting the hub 4 to a radial direction, a flange portion 544 fixed via an intermediate shaft portion 53 sticking out from the lower surface of the central shaft body 51, and an annular thrust bearing plate 6 located between the lower surface of the central shaft body 51 and the upper surface of the flange portion 54. Thrust magnetic bearings 9a and 9b supporting the hub 4 to a thrust direction are arranged between an outer peripheral side surface of the flange portion 54 and the inner face of the hub 4 opposing to the outer peripheral side surface of the flange portion 54.
