PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate authenticity without consuming the secondary battery built in a battery pack and prevent malfunction caused by a contact failure or the like of a terminal. SOLUTION: The battery pack is provided with a secondary battery 3, an output terminal 5 and a circuit 7 to discriminate authenticity. Electric power is not supplied to the circuit 7 to discriminate authenticity from the secondary battery 3, and it is not connected with the secondary battery 3 or the output terminal 5 either. The circuit 7 to discriminate authenticity is provided with a receiving part 11 to receive a starting electric wave transmitted from electric equipment 30, a transmitting part 12 to transmit an electric wave to discriminate authenticity as a signal to discriminate authenticity when the receiving part 11 receives the starting electric wave, and a power supply part 10 to supply the electric power to the receiving part 11 and the transmitting part 12 by converting the starting electric wave into a direct current power. In the authenticity discriminating circuit 7 when the battery pack is loaded to the electric equipment 30 and the starting electric wave is received, the power supply unit 10 supplies the electric power to the receiving part 11 and the transmitting part 12, and the transmitting part 12 transmits the electric wave to discriminate authenticity to discriminate authenticity.
