PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UWB communication system equipped with multiple access capacity, which easily synchronizes and is practically useful. SOLUTION: In UWB communication system, a transmitted reference (TR) technique and a technique of multiple access mode called delay hopping (DH) are combined. These two techniques are combined by using UWB signal transmission using transmission wave form of continuous noise, thereby, difficulty in synchronization contingent on conventional approach is avoided. This TR technique is combined with DH multiple access technique, therewith, the UWB communication system having a larger multiple access capacity than the capacity which the UWB TR technique has in itself is found out.
