PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve data corresponding to designated information from a plurality of files. SOLUTION: In a server 1 housing the files for storing various data and an operator terminal 2 connected to the server 1 with a communication network 3, an operator transmits retrieval indicating data to the server 1 by inputting information on a retrieving file being a retrieving object file, a category key of the retrieving file, and a retrieval condition of the category key from the terminal 2. The server 1 extracts a form page being data fit for the retrieval condition in the retrieving file, extracts and retrieves the form page corresponding to the category key of the form page of the extracted retrieving file being a subordinate file other than the retrieving file, transmits the page to the terminal 2 as retrieval result data, and displays a retrieval result image screen on the operator on the basis of the retrieval result data by the terminal 2.
