<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter of integrally formed multicolor layers and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is constituted of a transparent substrate and the integrally formed multicolor layers and comprises a metal layer formed on the substrate. The manufacturing method for the color filter comprises a stage for providing the transparent substrate and forming the metal layer on the substrate, a stage for oxidizing the metal layer to form a first color layer, a stage for forming a positive photoresist layer on the first color layer, a stage for selectively exposing the positive photoresist layer to form a perfectly exposed area, a partially exposed area and an unexposed area thereon, a stage for wholly oxidizing the metal layer, a stage for removing the partially exposed area, exposing the whole again to form a second color layer from the first color layer corresponding to the partially exposed area and forming a third color layer in the metal layer corresponding to the perfectly exposed area and a stage for removing the positive photoresist layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
