PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accommodation method which can effectively accommodate an article to be treated in a holder for surface treatment without damaging the article to be treated, and to provide an accommodation device suitable for the accommodation method. SOLUTION: This accommodation device comprises a holder 10 for surface treatment provided with accommodation spaces 13 formed in a spring-shaped tubular body, by winding a linear member 11 so as to have gaps 11a, holding members 40 and 41 for holding ends of the holder 10 and expanding the gap 11a, an introduction member 20 for introducing the article to be treated A into the above holder 10, and a forcibly pushing member 30 for moving the above article A along the above introduction member 20. The accommodation method with the use of the accommodation device, comprises expanding the above gaps 11a by bending the above holder 10, inserting the introduction member 20 for introducing the article A, through the above gaps 11a, moving the above article A along the introduction member 20, and accommodating it in the above holder 10.
