PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience at transmission of a password, related to a portable telephone terminal. SOLUTION: A server 12 which manages location information is a relay server for location retrieval service, etc., and a password for permitting a portable telephone terminal 14 to retrieve the location of a portable telephone terminal 11 is registered in a password management database 13 in advance. The portable telephone terminal 11 notifies the password registered in the password management database 13 to the portable telephone terminal 14 by a mail, etc. Such portable telephone terminal 14 as having acquired the password transmits a message for requesting location retrieval to the server 12. The server 12 confirms the password designated in the retrieval request message, and issues a retrieval instruction message to the portable telephone terminal 11 after permitting the retrieval.
