PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment in which remote monitoring can be performed at low cost without requiring dedicated equipment. SOLUTION: In a facsimile equipment 1 which can be connected to an Internet electronic mail server, the facsimile equipment has an image signal processor for generating image data by processing image signals from an image input device 2, a memory 10 in which set information such as the telephone number or electronic mail address of the Internet electronic mail server is stored, a microprocessor 9 for processing the image data on the basis of the set information, and a MODEM 13 for transmitting the image data processed by the microprocessor to a public line 4.
