PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect correction method for correcting deformation produced in a blind-like part in a metallic thin plate having minute slit-like openings manufactured by a photo-etching method. SOLUTION: The metallic thin plate 10 is fixed to a twist correction tool 20 at the upper and lower frames 11 of the roots of its blind-like part 13, and the deformation of the blind-like part 13 is corrected by applying twist in the circumferential direction while applying tension in a direction parallel with the correction tool 20. By using this method, deformation such as twist, displacement and recess (projection) produced in the blind-like part of the metallic thin plate having the slit-like openings manufactured by a photo-etching method can be corrected, and the manufacturing yield can be increased by eliminating defective products discarded heretofore.
