<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full color organic electroluminescent display element capable of preventing a pattern defect generated at an edge part of an opening part of a pixel electrode, and to provide a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The full color organic electroluminescent display element comprises a lower part film formed on a substrate, a insulation film formed so as to expose the lower part film, and an organic thin film layer formed on the insulation film. The thickness of the insulation film is not more than 500 nm. Preferably, the thickness of the insulation layer is not more than 200 nm, and more preferably, between 100 nm and 200 nm. The organic thin film layer includes one or more layers out of a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, an R, G and B light emitting layer, an electron transport layer, and an electron injection layer, and patterned by laser transcription method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
