<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an erroneous detection rate for cell searching. <P>SOLUTION: At a cell search 71, a frequency control (steps 211-217) is started during cell searching which uses a first correlation detection method (step 201-203). At the frequency control, a mobile station detects frequency deviation between the transmission frequency of a base station to which a radio link should be connected and that of the mobile station (step 213), and controls the reception frequency of the mobile station so that the frequency deviation is reduced (step 214). While the detection of frequency deviation and control of reception frequency are repeated, a first correlation detection method is changed to a second correlation detection method with which erroneous detection rate for a base station is less than the first correlation detection method, if the frequency deviation is judged to be a prescribed value or below (step 217). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
