<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic black toner containing a metal oxide as a black colorant and giving a high quality image with little unevenness in density. <P>SOLUTION: The nonmagnetic black toner comprises a bonding resin, a black colorant and a charge controlling agent, wherein a metal oxide is contained as the black colorant and an organic iron complex of formula (I) or (II) is contained as the charge controlling agent. In the formulae (I) and (II), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a halogen or nitro; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each H, a halogen, a 1-3C alkyl or -CO-NH-(C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>); X<SP>n+</SP>is a cation; n is an integer of 1 or 2; and R<SP>5</SP>-R<SP>8</SP>are each H or a 1-6C alkyl. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
