PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television video image display device that can suppress disturbance of display even when a synchronizing signal is disturbed in the case of displaying graphics. SOLUTION: A display synchronizing signal generating section 18 supplying a synchronizing signal for display to a graphic generating section 21 and a display section 20 is configured such that the generating section 18 outputs the display synchronizing signal by a self-running oscillation output in an ordinary state and outputs the display synchronizing signal synchronously with a synchronizing signal included in a video signal for a prescribed period after the synchronizing signal is disturbed by channel switching or the like and the synchronizing signal again reaches a normal state.
