PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system that can manage documents of clients corresponding to a plurality of different languages in a common server. SOLUTION: When document management clients 2-1 to 2-3 request the acquisition of a log of their requests from a document management server 1, the document management server 1 writes out, from log data of a plurality of languages that it holds, log information corresponding to language information about the clients 2-1 to 2-3 along with identification information and language information about the clients 2-1 to 2-3, and creates a log of language information handled by the document management server 1.
