PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate reading and control. SOLUTION: This date mechanism includes the units digit runner 1, 3 having ten tooth parts or a multiple of ten of tooth parts, the tens digit runner 2, 4 having four tooth parts or a multiple of four of tooth parts, a speed change gear to which the runners are connected to advance the tens digit runner by one at every decimal of the above units digit runner, and a driving runner 7, 8 for driving the units digit runner. One tooth part of the units digit runner to advance '1' to '2' is the tooth part of an auxiliary runner 12 fixed to the units digit runner, and the auxiliary runner 12 engages with the tooth part of the tens digit display runner and a cam 15, alternately, which is the cam 15 fixed to the tens digit runner and adapted to allow the auxiliary runner 12 to drive the tens digit runner 4 by one between '31' and '01' without driving the units runner.
