<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission/reception module in which optical transmission by a fully duplex communication method with high quality is performed by using a light shielding partition plate and a break of the end face of an optical fiber or the partition plate is prevented even when an inserted optical plug is turned in the module, and an optical arrangement which gives an excellent optical coupling performance of an optical fiber cable, a light emitting element and a light receiving element, and to provide an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical module in which an optical transmission/reception fiber is shared by the transmission and the reception, a light shielding partition plate unit 506 which divides an optical path into an optical path for transmission signal and an optical path for reception signal is inserted between a jack part 508 which detachably holds an optical plug 240 and an integrally formed light receiving/emitting unit 505 in which a light emitting diode (LED) 514 and a photodiode (PD) 515 are located at prescribed positions and fixed. The LED 514 is so arranged that the distance in the optical axis direction of the optical fiber is larger than that of the PD 515.
