<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication system which can perform data reproduction of high quality by efficiently using a resending request by an ARQ function. <P>SOLUTION: For packet transmission based upon data communication protocol such as RTP and UDP, the ARQ function is added and a lost packet is detected in various timings such as the reception time of the head packet of each frame, the reception time of the tail packet of each frame, a final processing period, a fixed interval (τ), etc., to request resending. A data receiving terminal takes a reproduction processing time and a propagation delay time RTT into consideration and does not perform reproduction request processing when the resending request processing is not completed before reproduction processing to prevent an unnecessary resending request packet and a resent packet from being outputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
