<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble which occurs in invalidation of a print request from a low function scanner and to enable even a user having no client terminals for exclusive use to recognize why a print job is suspended in a server. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting print invalidation meaning that print cannot be performed in accordance with a print indication of the user with respect to the print request from a low function scanner (B) 1b, a server 3 neither rejects nor abandons a pertinent print job and keeps it in the temporary suspended state and sets a reason of temporary suspension to manage the job. When receiving the setting change of the print indication of the temporarily suspended job and a request for reprint, the server releases temporary suspension of the job and performs print control for reprint at the print indication after the setting change is effective. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
