WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX SYSTEM, MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION DEVICE, WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEXING METHOD, AND ROUTE SELECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide transmission environment of high transmission quality for a client requesting a transmission line of high quality.

SOLUTION: Aggregate stations 10 and 20 are equipped with transmission quality monitors 14 and 24 which monitor branch signals from light wavelength converters 12 and 22 and monitor transmission quality of all wavelengths. A priority controller 30 switches a path according to priority information of the client. Namely, the priority controller 30 controls optical cross-connecting devices 13 and 23 so that a wavelength of invariably high transmission quality is allocated to a client signal with high priority. The optical cross-connecting device 13 sends the client signal out to a corresponding wavelength converter 12 according to the indication of the priority controller 12. The client signal converted to the corresponding wavelength is multiplexed by a light wavelength multiplexing device 11 and sent to the aggregate station 20.
