<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child assist system by which the safety of a child can surely and reasonably be confirmed when the child is away from home. <P>SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 1 of a guardian 11 is connected with the management server 4 of a service management center 3 via a portable telephone network 2. An information terminal 6 is incorporated in a stuffed animal 5 carried by the child 12, and the terminal 6 is connected with the server 4 via a packet communication network 7. A request packet is sent to the terminal 6 via the server 4.
