<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting machine whose cost is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device 15 is so set on a pedestal 1 that the amount of deviation of a head unit 5 from a position expected by good rights, that of a sucking head 13 for the head unit 5 and that of a part for the sucking head can be calculated.
