PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a reproduction signal by appropriately eliminating crosstalk and cross modulation. SOLUTION: As to signals read from a plurality of tracks including a main track and adjacent tracks in reproduction, the signals read from the adjacent tracks are filtered and the signal read from the main track is also filtered. By multiplying them, presumed values (CM1, CM2) of a crossmodulation signal to the main track are obtained. Then the crossmodulation component is eliminated by means of subtracting the presumed value of the crossmodulation signal from the signal mz read from the main track. Further, the crosstalk component CT is obtained by filtering the signals read from the adjacent tracks, and by subtracting CT from the signal MX read from the main track, the crosstalk component from the adjacent tracks included in the read signal of the main track is eliminated.
