The lock, e.g. for a door with a sheet metal surface, consists of a stator (1) with a head or collar (4) that fits against the door's outer surface, and a clip (2) that is pushed through a hole in the door surface and fastens inside to hole the lock in place. The clip has two vertical sides (9) and a bridge (10) that fit into recesses (5, 6) in the stator surface so they lie flush with it for inserting through the door hole. The sides (9) have two flat vanes (11) and a central flexible vane (12) that is bent outwards. The central vanes are pressed flat against the lock as it is inserted and then spring out to hold the lock reliably in place inside the door.
