DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FILLING MOULDS

In a device for filling moulds for compression moulding of plastic objects, pre-set doses of fluid plastic material are introduced into dispensing devices (8) that slide over a filling channel (12). The pre-set dose is expelled from the chamber (9) of a mould (2) by lowering the piston (10). Detachment of the dose of hot plastic material from the walls of the chamber (9) is facilitated by cooling the walls themselves, which are appropriately smoothed. Likewise described is a method for carrying out filling of moulds using the device described above.
