PURPOSE: Provided is antithrombin (AT), in particular antithrombin III (AT III), which is used for the prevention and/or therapy of vasculoproliferative disorders. CONSTITUTION: An antithrombin, in particular antithrombin III, is characteristically used for the prevention and/or therapy of vasculoproliferative disorders including transplant vasculopathy, restenosis, and in-stent restenosis. A medicament comprises antithrombin, in particular antithrombin III. A method for treating a vasculoproliferative disorder comprises administering to a subject an antithrombin in an amount sufficient to treat the vasculoproliferative disorder.
