METHOD FOR TREATING ALKALI WASTEWATER GENERATED FROM DEGREASING PROCESS OF STEEL STRIP

PURPOSE: A method for treating alkali wastewater generated from degreasing process of steel strip is provided to treat the wastewater by guiding alkali wastewater into reaction tank, preparing oxidation atmospheric conditions by adding pH adjusting agent with agitating the alkali wastewater using agitator and by adding hydrogen peroxide and iron sulfate. CONSTITUTION: In a wastewater treatment method for treating suspended solids by adding hydrogen peroxide and iron sulfate to alkali wastewater, the method comprises a step of agitating alkali wastewater after adding pH adjusting agent so that the alkali wastewater becomes suspension maintaining reaction atmosphere of pH 3.0 to 4.0; a step of adding hydrogen peroxide into the suspension in an amount of 30 to 60 mg/L; and a step of oxidizing and decomposing the suspended solids by adding 0.25 to 0.3 mole ratio of iron sulfate for hydrogen peroxide to the suspension.
